Buenos Aires Welcomes Ibero-American Leaders for the 1st Symposium on Innovation, Science, and Technology

ITECH will host an international event in Buenos Aires aimed at connecting science, technology, industry, public policy, and social impact.

On November 18 and 19, 2026, Palacio Paz will host an international event bringing together science, technology, industry, public policy, and social impact.

Buenos Aires, August 2026. — Over the course of two days, the iconic Palacio Paz will become a meeting point for those shaping the region’s scientific, technological, and productive future.

The Ibero-American Institute of Technology (ITECH) will hold the 1st Iberoamerican Innovation, Science and Technology Symposium, on November 18 & 19th, 2026.

The initiative goes beyond leading voices together. Its aim is to connect knowledge, decision-making, and action. Researchers, business leaders, academics, public-sector representatives, and organizations from different countries will discuss how to turn innovation into sustainable development, competitiveness, and well-being across Ibero-America.

The agenda will bring together experts with international experience in nanotechnology, health, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, environmental law, industrial innovation, and sustainability.

Dr. Thomas Webster — Vice President of ITECH and an internationally recognized expert in biomaterials, nanomedicine, and nanotechnology applied to healthcare.
Dr. Jose Vega Varduit — President of the Scientific Committee and Director of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory and the National Center for High Technology.
Dr. Javier de la Hoz — Specialist in environmental and climate litigation.
Ing. Iván Isaak — CEO and co-founder of Nexup, an Argentine healthtech company with a regional presence, applying artificial intelligence to healthcare.
Nélida Carina Birarda — Specialist in cybersecurity and Internet governance; founder of Binary Group.
Dra. Cristina Leira — Researcher in cognition, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence; co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Wigwagapp Inc.
Dr. Alberto Quispe — Director of Research in Advanced Materials, Energy, and Climate Change at GINAECC, Peru.
Knowledge in Action

A Space to Turn Knowledge into Action

The Symposium was conceived as a platform for regional collaboration and networking. In addition to academic presentations, it will seek to foster high-value connections, collaborative projects, new partnerships, and opportunities for cooperation among institutions, companies, researchers, and decision-makers.
